WEEKLY SERVICESJoin us ONLINE for our services during this time of physical distancing.
YOU'RE INVITED TO COFFEE AND CONVERSATIONJoin with the St. Augustine Community at one of two virtual 'get-togethers' each Sunday. Each Coffee and Conversation will be offered via Zoom and will take place at 10am (prior to the 10:45am service), or 11:30am, (following the service). The casual socal meetings will last under 40 minutes, and offer a chance to say hello to friends, get to know each other better, and stay connected during this time of physical distancing. To participate, email memberengagement@sac-okc.org for the link and password. You must be able to access Zoom from your home computer or Zoom app on your tablet or phone. We can't wait to see you this Sunday! ZOOM BIBLE STUDYOn Wednesday, May 6th at 11:00 a.m. we will reconvene our Wednesday Adult bible study through the means of Zoom. During the four Wednesdays in May, we will take a critical look at the book of Malachi. This minor prophet is the last book listed in the canonical ordering of the Old Testament, and it is assumed that its name derives from the Hebrew word “my messenger.” A separate link connecting you to Zoom will be sent out next Wednesday. If you need help downloading a Zoom app or getting connected on your phone or computer, please contact Ryan Garrett at: 405-751-7874 during office hours, or by email saintaugustineokc@gmail.com. OUTREACH OPPORTUNITY As we all struggle in some way with our new "COVID reality," we find that many have a new struggle: to put food on the table. According to officials at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, those already facing hunger have been hit especially hard, but they're also seeing more first-time pantry visitors than ever. With the Food Bank's own ability to raise funds and make use of volunteers severely hampered, they are experiencing a 25% increase in average monthly distributions. The Easter season - a time of new life, rebirth, and renewal - is an ideal time for us to work together to support the efforts of the Food Bank as they meet the needs of hungry men, women and children - our neighbors. In order to do this they have asked for monetary donations and The Vestry has agreed to match personal contributions dollar-for-dollar, with a goal of collecting $5,000 to be matched by $5,000 from the church budget - a total $10,000 contribution by Sunday, May 31st. You can help relieve hunger in Oklahoma by making a tax-deductible contribution. Send your check to St. Augustine (14700 N. May Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73134; Memo line: Food Bank) or by logging onto the Tithe.ly app and contributing by credit card. (Further directions for logging onto Tithe.ly can be found HERE.) OFFERING Financial commitments are vitally important to the ongoing work of our congregation. Continue to support the church financially in one of these ways:
