During this time of great flux and uncertainty in our community and world, St. Augustine of Canterbury is grateful for the faithful and generous support of people like you. Today, we highlight Valerie Hall and hear what St. Augustine’s means to her. 2020 MINISTRY FAIR THEME: INVEST IN THE FUTURE OF ST. AUGUSTINE…INVEST IN YOURSELF! MATTHEW 20:1-16 This year, our annual Ministry Fair will be featured via a special video during the 10:45am service THIS Sunday, September 20th. Members will be able to sign up for any ministry at St. Augustine, but that Sunday, ten specific ministries will be spotlighted by video. They’ll include Altar Guild, Usher Team, Greeter Team, Intercessors/Lectors, Video/Tech Team, Eucharistic Visitors, Music Team, Outreach, and a new ministry - Here I Am, Send Me! Stay tuned to the announcements for more Ministry Fair details, or email memberengagement@sac-okc.org. NATIONAL VOTER REGISTRATION DAY St. Augustine’s is partnering with the national Episcopal Church to encourage every American to plan to vote and vote faithfully! Election season is upon us in the U.S., and now is the time to make sure you – and those in your community – are ready. This year, many states have updated how voters can cast their ballot with no-excuse absentee ballots, early voting, and other measures to allow Americans to vote safely in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. National Voter Registration Day is Tuesday, September 22nd. As a part of your civic duty we encourage you to go out and vote! Make sure you are registered to vote by Tuesday September 22nd. For more information and resources visit: https://nationalvoterregistrationday.org/ or https://episcopalchurch.org/posts/ogr/plan-your-vote ECW BAKE SALE With everything that has been going on and the cancellation of the Canterbury Faire, the ECW has decided to do a bake sale. The proceeds that they make during the Canterbury Faire go to assisting the women and families at Jesus House. This year they will be selling a limited amount of baked goods and also a "bakeless" option for those who would like to donate but are not interested in ordering any baked goods. Click HERE to see the full menu and contact Patsy when you are ready to place your order. Orders will be taken until September 23rd. All baked goods will be available for contactless pickup on October 4th. SPECIAL SERVICE TO CELEBRATE ANIMAL FRIENDS On Sunday, October 4th from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. we will have a modified version of our Annual Blessing of Pets at St. Augustine’s. This year, due to the COVID-19 restrictions, we will offer a “Bark-N-Bless” drive-through blessing for all of our feathered, finned, and furry friends. As always, we encourage you to invite someone to this exciting St. Augustine’s event! OFFERINGFinancial commitments are vitally important to the ongoing work of our congregation. Continue to support the church financially in one of these ways:
