Newcomers & Visitors
Newcomers and visitors are always welcome at St. Augustine’s. Whether passing through town, seeking a new faith community or returning after years away, you are welcome. Singles, couples, and families are welcome. Whatever your faith tradition has (or has not) been, whatever you believe and whatever you doubt, you are welcome! This is a place for seekers and skeptics; young, old, and in-between. Differently abled and differently gifted. There is room for all, and all are welcome.
We love and celebrate children at St. Augustine’s. Children are welcome in all services (nursery care is also available for children 3 years and younger from 9:30 am to noon on Sundays). There is a Children’s Moment at the 10:45 service for children from fourth grade and younger. They gather at the Altar for a brief lesson early in the service, and then process out to the Children’s Chapel room for age-appropriate lessons and activities. They are returned to the Nave before the Eucharist so that families can celebrate (take communion) together.
Most people begin by attending one of our Sunday worship services, but there is no right or wrong way to approach your connection with us. You may find it helpful to spend some time on this website, looking through and seeing what catches your eye; piques your interest. You may want to view a service or sermon on YouTube. Or you may want to just give our Rector a call. He’s always happy to visit!
More information is available about volunteering at St. Augustine’s, as well as a wide variety of groups in which to participate. Interested in outreach? Click here to check out the VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES section of this web site
