Pledge - The heart of the stewardship effort at St.
Augustine’s takes place every fall, when members, friends, and newcomers
are asked to make a pledge of financial support for the coming calendar
year. We do not view the money Christians give to their church merely
as a way to pay its bills. Rather, we see financial contributions as a
way to help people grow spiritually in their relationship with God by
supporting their church’s mission and ministry with a percentage of
their incomes.
Our stewardship process is based on the biblical philosophy of the need of the giver to give for his or her own spiritual development, rather than on the need of the church to receive. Rather than expecting members
to pay dues, as they would for a social club, we treat people like followers of Jesus Christ who want to give unselfishly as an act of discipleship. We encourage people toward proportionate and systematic giving in response to the question, “What percentage of my income is God calling me to give?”
Parishioners can choose to make contributions toward their pledge weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually or in any installment plan that they wish.
Donations for Altar Flowers - If you wish to donate special flowers in memory of, thanksgiving for, or to honor someone, or for a special occasion, enter the appropriate information in the “Flowers” notebook on the counter in front of the office. You may then leave a check for $75 in the collection plate with the notation “Altar Flowers” on the memo line or by any of the electronic means described below under “Making a Contribution or Paying a Pledge.”
Making a Contribution or Paying a Pledge
Choose any of the following options to make a donation or pledge:
- Click the "GIVE" button located at the bottom of the page.
- Check – a check can be dropped in the offering plate as it’s passed on Sunday
morning or can be mailed to the church at 14700 North May Avenue,
Oklahoma City, OK 73134
- Text - Text the word GIVE to (405) 645-6608 and follow the instructions you receive.
- Automatic Bank Transfer - Enroll in the ACH (Automated Clearing House) program to have your contributions deducted
automatically from your checking or savings account. Request the ACH
authorization form by calling the church office and return the completed
form in person or by mail to 14700 North May Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK
73134.
- Your monthly pledge payment will be deducted on either the 5th or 20th of each month.
- There is no fee for this service.
- You may stop your deductions at any time up to 10 days prior to the scheduled withdrawal date by notifying Kenny Koch at kenkoch.media@me.com
- Stock or Mutual Fund – Please check with the Rector, Treasurer or Senior Warden to make
arrangements for the transfer of stock or marketable securities to St.
Augustine’s at Rector@sac-okc.org, Treasurer@sac-okc.org, or SeniorWarden@sac-okc.org. Electronic transfer instructions can be found [here].
