ADULT FORUM: WHY EPISCOPALIANS NEED TO CELEBRATE WINE!
Please join us Sunday, January 16 at 9:35am as The Rev. Bob Wickizer leads us in a discussion on why we Episcopalians have labored far too long under the specter of Biblical taboos cast by practitioners of the dark arts of cultic expansion. It is time for us to come out from hiding under the rock and tell the world that “It’s OK to drink wine and other spirits.” In fact, in most languages, the word “spirit” can mean something from the supernatural world like ghost, angels, or evil spirits as well as a fermented beverage that can induce varying degrees of euphoria. Come join us as we debunk a lot of the common religious nonsense about wine, beer, and alcohol in general.

GUEST PREACHER MLK SUNDAY
Our guest preacher on Sunday, January 16th will be the Reverend Bob Wickizer, who is the retired rector of Grace Episcopal Church in Muskogee and co-owner of Pecan Creek Winery, also in Muskogee. Before coming to Muskogee, Fr. Bob served as adjunct-priest at Washington National Cathedral as well as other parishes in the Washington DC area. As a physicist, Fr. Bob designed medical X-ray CT and MRI scanners and taught at two medical schools. He started two software companies in Silicon Valley and sold both to public firms before going to seminary. In retirement, he is a winemaker and is writing a fictionalized memoir titled “Lies We Tell Our Children.
