Thank you for your overwhelming support of this outreach program! You have provided all the supplies we need, and now we get to assemble and deliver the meals. The Youth will be making sandwiches this Wednesday at 7 p.m. in St. Augustine’s kitchen. Any additional helpers are welcome to join in! The delivery crews will meet in the Education Wing after the 11:00 a.m. service on Easter Sunday to load the Easter meals and deliver them to the needy along Oklahoma City streets, at the Rescue Mission, Jesus House, and Harbor House.

For the past three years, we have participated in creating Easter Baskets for our brothers and sisters who are homeless around the downtown area. Each year, as we have increased the number of baskets we filled, your generosity has been phenomenal and for that we say “Thank You!” In our desire to reach more hungry people, we have set a goal of filling 500 baskets this year. We are confident that during the season of Lent, the people of St. Augustine will help us to reach that goal. What better way can we show the love of the crucified and risen Lord to our homeless family members, than to make sure that they will have a meal on Easter Sunday!
Here’s the list of the items we will need to gather for the Lenten/Easter Basket Outreach Project:
Please drop off the items in the basket marked "Lenten/Easter Basket Outreach Project" located in the Commons Area. Thank you in advance for your participation in making this a successful program! |
