LENTEN ADULT BIBLE STUDY
Starting TODAY, Wednesday, February 24th at 11:00am, we will begin a six week Lenten Study, offered on Zoom. This forum will be exploring the events of Holy Week through the lens of the Gospel texts, artwork and insights of world-renowned biblical scholars and professors of preaching at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology. Contact office@sac-okc.org for more information or to sign up.

EVENING LENTEN PROGRAM
Starting TODAY, Join Fr. Tony Moon for Lectio Divina (Divine Reading) in the comfort of your home via Zoom! This traditional Benedictine practice focuses on reading a passage of Holy Scripture followed by brief periods of reflection and prayer. The intention is to promote an encounter with God. Divine Reading does not treat Scripture as texts to be studied (that is, Bible Study), but as the Living Word—a path to find out what God is saying to me personally, and a time to listen for my heart’s response to God. Sessions will be held 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., beginning February 24 (the Wednesday after Ash Wednesday) through March 31st (the Wednesday before Easter) Please e-mail office@sac-okc.org to register and receive a Zoom link.
BROTHERHOOD CURBSIDE TAKE OUT DINNERSTODAY is the last day to orders! The Brotherhood of St. Lawrence will be smoking up some tender baby back rib dinners to be picked up THIS Saturday, February 27th.
  • Baby Back Pork Ribs Dinner - $17.50 per dinner includes: 2 Bone Smoked Baby Back Ribs, Holleman Green Beans, Cob Corn, Texas Toast
  • Full Slab of Ribs - $25.00 per Slab with Pint of Sauce
Order by the link, https://www.sac-okc.org/brotherhood-cookout.html, or contact Chad Yarbrough at (405) 514-6941. Payment due at the time of the order. Pick-up will be curbside at the church from 4pm to 6pm.

LENT KIT PICK UP

pick up a kit in person, or Sunday 2/28 drive through pick up 9am-10:30am and again 12:30-1:30pm following the close of service. Kits include multiple resources to deepen your journey through the Season of Lent - A Devotional Book, Lent Calendar, Lent Madness reading, Cross with nail, Prayer Cube, Soup, and much more. Email memberengagement@sac-okc.org for additional information or to reserve your kit.

LENTEN OUTREACH: EASTER MEALS FOR THE HOMELESS
In our ongoing efforts to help feed the hungry, we have set a goal of providing 700 meals this Easter. Despite the pandemic, we are confident that during this season of Lent the people of St. Augustine will help reach this goal. It is a great way for us to honor our crucified and risen Lord by sharing his love with homeless families making sure they have food to eat on Easter Sunday! Here is the list of food items we will be gathering each week of Lent:
  • Feb. 21 -- Bottled water (any brand or size).
  • Feb. 28 -- Sliced bread (any brand or type for sandwiches).
  • March 7 -- Sliced cheese (any brand or type for sandwiches).
  • March 14 -- Luncheon meat/cold cuts (any brand or type for sandwiches).
  • March 21 -- Chips (Snack/lunch box size, any brand or type).
  • March 28 -- Apples (any type, amount).
Please drop off your items weekly at the church entrance placing them in the plastic containers labeled "Lenten Outreach Items." Thanks in advance for all your help!
