Email memberengagement@sac-okc.org TIME BRINGS ABOUT A CHANGE Beginning on the First of Advent, November 28th, our liturgical space will be transformed. One of the most notable changes will be the placement of the altar near the entrance of the Nave so that when we celebrate the eucharist we will look towards the east - the direction of the rising sun and Bethlehem. This change will thus emphasize the theme of preparation and joyful expectation for the birth of the Sun of Righteousness. ADVENT WREATH MAKING EVENT Join us on Sunday, November 21st from 9:35am for Advent Wreath Making! All will be welcome and encouraged to attend this class hosted by Susan Shebester and Fr. Joseph! All supplies, including fragrant fresh evergreen boughs and candles will be provided for you. Please RSVP memberengagement@sac-okc.org or 405-751-7874. LAS POSADAS – “THE INNS” The Holy Family will begin their journey on the first Sunday of Advent, November 28th, after the 10:45 service and return to the Church on Christmas Eve. Mary and Joseph will spend one night in your house and then travel to another location for the next night. Please sign up in the Commons Area to house Mary & Joseph for a night. YOUR LIFE, YOUR LEGACY - PLAN TO MAKE IT RIGHT Make plans to attend an Adult Forum on December 5th & 12th at 9:35am. Planning for life’s big events such as weddings, graduations and retirements is something most of us happily undertake. Unfortunately, we not be as enthusiastic about planning ahead to best ease the impact of your passing on your loved ones. Putting final arrangements and estate plans into place is one of the greatest gifts you can give your family -- for their peace of mind and yours. Join our own Jeanne Lowrey, Family Service Advisor at Rose Hill Burial Park & Hahn-Cook/Street and Draper Funeral Directors, and Sarah Stewart, Estate Planning Attorney, as we have a candid discussion regarding plans for facing the reality of passing away.
