A MESSAGE FROM OUR YOUTH MINISTER
Due to the oddity of life right now, and because we can't just get together the way we are used to, I want to create some space each week for the youth to check in virtually via Zoom. Our way of hanging out together but apart. Each week I want to get together for 15-20 minutes to check in, share some stories, have a prayer and/or devotional time together. So talk with your teens and please fill out this survey so we can get a handle for the best time to have our gatherings. SURVEY: https://sac.breezechms.com/form/c0e11a Thank you for your commitment to church, your kids, and your faithfulness to Jesus. The Usher Team, led by Mark Williams, consists of both men and women - who range in age from responsible teens to stunning seniors. The Usher Team directs members and guests from the Commons to a seat in the Nave. During the service, ushers help keep an eye on the building, and everyone in the sanctuary. Ushers help on a rotating schedule, usually once a month. Duties are simple and straightforward, and you always serve with a team. The Usher Team needs YOU for the 10:45 service! Please contact Mark Williams via email at: wms-mail@swbell.net or connect with the front office to learn more or volunteer. A SEASON OF PRAYER; FOR AN ELECTION Forward Movement and The Episcopal Church Office of Government Relations are calling Episcopalians and all others to join in A Season of Prayer: For an Election. This prayer novena—nine days of devotional prayers—calls upon God for discernment in voting and for the well-being of our nation. The season of prayer begins Tuesday, October 27, and continues through November 4, the day after the elections in the United States. All prayers come from The Book of Common Prayer, and materials include a brief litany to use each day. Printable materials for individuals, churches, and families are available for download in English at www.forwardmovement.org/election and in Spanish at www.venadelante.org/eleccion.
