ADULT BIBLE STUDY: “ALL NIGHT, ALL DAY, ANGELS WATCHING OVER ME”
Have you ever wondered about the existence of angels? Angels, appear in the greatest of biblical moments: at the gates of the Garden of Eden, at the birth of Christ, and at the tomb of the resurrection. But often Christians tend to either dismiss angels as fantasy or caricaturize them as one-dimensional cherubs.
Beginning on Wednesday, September 29th, at 11:00am through November 3rd, in the St. Augustine Library, we will embark on a six-week adult bible study to look at various stories of angelic appearances and recall what God has done before but also to watch for what God is doing now.
PET BLESSING & EUCHARISTIC EVENSONG
Sunday, October 3rd, at 5:00pm during our Eucharistic Evensong we will have our Annual Blessing of Pets in the Nave. As in years past, we encourage you bring your feathered, finned, and furry friends to this exciting St. Augustine event!
BLESSING OF STUFFED ANIMALS
As part of our celebration of St. Francis/ Creation Sunday, all children and youth are invited to bring their stuffed animals to be blessed at the 10:45am service October 3rd.
Youth grades 6-12 are encouraged and invited to participate in Confirmation class with Fr. Lance Sundays October 3rd through November 7th from 9:30-10:30. The Rite of Confirmation is one of the seven sacraments of the church in which we express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit. Candidates will prepare for Confirmation by receiving instruction in the history and theology of the Episcopal Church as well as forming a community of prayer. Please RSVP with Fr. Lance to let him know how many to plan for! 405.476.2633 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
